The Norfolk Airport Authority is seeking proposals from qualified firms licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide taxi dispatch services at Norfolk International Airport.

Proposals will be received at the Administration Office front desk, located at Norfolk International Airport, 2200 Norview Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23518 until 2:00 p.m. local time on July 25, 2019. Any proposal received after the specified time and date will not be considered.

  • Responsible for developing and coordinating improvements and maintenance to the Commercial Roadway system. Works with appropriate departments for maintenance projects, construction projects, Request for Proposals (RFP) as required.

Manages tasks against the project plan; develops parking facilities strategies and projects; manages details of the work unit functions, programs and services for efficiency; utilizes financial practices and strategies to maintain fiscal integrity parking enterprise and implements accountability-based fiscal practices to ensure prudent expenses and revenue streams.

5. Continually seek opportunities to deliver value to the business while staying within project scope; works with cross functional project teams; collaborates with stakeholders and decision-makers while performing duties; supports planning initiatives with parking and transportation demand analysis and projections.

6. Manages contracts and contractual obligations; develops work unit's budget; implements and maintains accountability-based fiscal practices for expenses and revenue stream; prepares contracts requests for proposal for; manages contractors’ activities.

7. Participates in appeal sessions to adjudicate violations pertaining to rules and regulations ground transportation providers; responds to parking and ground transportation issues including complaints, investigations and notification of actions and resolution of complaints.

SFO is looking for a talented transportation, transit or parking industry leader to manage the Airport’s parking operations and provide leadership and direction to parking staff and contract services employees. With SFO parking operations generating over 110 million annually and over 21k parking stalls in garage and parking lot facilities, the Airport Parking Manager is an influential leader in ensuring a high level airport guest experience for the traveling public.

SFO is currently undergoing the beginning phase of its new airport development plan involving a new parking garage facility at Long Term Parking. The Airport Parking Manager will be a critical leader in this development process and will be working closely with project managers and contract design development teams.
